New Media Initiative (NMI) - Multimedia Arts Collective
NMI is a multimedia arts collective that seeks to create an independent arts collective aimed at unleashing the powerful potential in combing indi-artists, multimedia art and the local economy to re-envision the way we do art in Philadelphia, and subsequently the way we relate to the community and each other. Additionally, NMI gathers and shares already existing independent arts resources in addition to producing and disseminating new ones.
We are currently looking for members and hosting a fundraiser Saturday, February 27th at the Rotunda.

NXG: Next Generation - Youth Artist Collective
NXG: Next Generation is a collective of Philly youth, pro-peace artists covering the disciplines of rap, poetry and singing. These young talents have large dreams--of the biggest is to simply be heard. Responding to a advertisement for poetry, rap and performance apprenticeship classes that Shayna SheNess Israel founded and taught, these youth showed up every second and fourth Saturday of each month to develop their art.
Achieving what for them initially appeared as impossible, this fiery class ushers in a new era--one in which they dispel misconceptions of powerlessness, display the potentiality of focusing on local independent artists and rearrange what revolution looks like.
